Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) is an Indian state-owned aerospace and Defence company. It is headquartered in Bangalore, India. Established on 23 December 1940, HAL is one of the oldest and largest aerospace and Defence manufacturers in the world today. HAL is responsible for the development of HAL Tejas fighter jet.
The Bharat Dynamics Limited (BDL), an Indian government company under the Defense Research And Development Organization (DRDO), is responsible for the design and development of the various missile systems for the Indian Armed Forces. Akash missile system is developed and manufactured by BDL.
